[She returns his smirk with a wry smile, then glances back down at the wrapped-up plush inside the cell. As he sets his briefcase down, she sighs.]
These always seem to be at the top of my trunk, even when I put them at the bottom. They're not reminders that I want. ...even if it doesn't work, I figure blowing them up will make me feel a little better.
[He shuffles through his things a bit, idly speaking as he did.] They do that a lot. It's one of their favorite gimmicks-- something about this place or whatever programming they've got here will leave some of the stuff they give us right where we don't want 'em. Can't get rid of 'em most of the time.
[He pulled out two smaller sized bombs, not as big as grenades, but certainly still enough to back a punch.] 'Course, that also just means we get to have more fun with 'em if they don't go away.
[That makes her giggle, if only because pushing luck is sort of what Sheba does, but she lets the subject drop. Badmouthing the administrators is more her speed right now, anyway.]
They're not very creative at all, are they... if they have to rely on things like this to get under our skin.
[She studies the two bombs curiously.] ...those are different from the thing you had when we met. What are they?
They waste their creativity trying to fuck with our heads in their dumb games.
[Which was totally not an admission to any of their tortures actually being creative. Nah. Let's talk about explosives.]
Cherry bombs-- smaller explosives, but I've given them some extra juice. That thing I blew us up with before was a grenade-- military grade. Enough power to level a street corner at their finest.
[There's a teasing lilt to her voice, but the mirth vanishes from her eyes when she brings her gaze from the cherry bomb to the plushie she wants to blow up.]
So... how much time do we have between lighting the fuse and the explosion?

Takes the fuse about 30 seconds to burn down, so about that much. Don't worry-- the explosion's probably less lethal than on average around here.
