Only comparatively? I'll have to try harder.

[She returns his smirk with a wry smile, then glances back down at the wrapped-up plush inside the cell. As he sets his briefcase down, she sighs.]

These always seem to be at the top of my trunk, even when I put them at the bottom. They're not reminders that I want. ...even if it doesn't work, I figure blowing them up will make me feel a little better.

[It worked for Jenna, anyway.]

[That makes her giggle, if only because pushing luck is sort of what Sheba does, but she lets the subject drop. Badmouthing the administrators is more her speed right now, anyway.]

They're not very creative at all, are they... if they have to rely on things like this to get under our skin.

[She studies the two bombs curiously.] ...those are different from the thing you had when we met. What are they?
seekinganswers: (Wait - what did you just...?)

...extra juice, huh?

[Okay, she has to admit, she's curious to see how these work. She holds out a hand as if to pick one up, then pauses.]

Could I take a look at one of them, or would that accidentally set it off?
seekinganswers: (Looking back...)

[She takes one of the cherry bombs into her hand, then, and turns it over in her palm, scrutinizing it.]

Wow... this is really well-made.
seekinganswers: (pleasant conversation)

Speaking from experience?

[There's a teasing lilt to her voice, but the mirth vanishes from her eyes when she brings her gaze from the cherry bomb to the plushie she wants to blow up.]

So... how much time do we have between lighting the fuse and the explosion?
seekinganswers: (Hee hee~!)

[personal profile] seekinganswers 2014-05-31 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Thirty seconds? That's more than enough time to contain it.

[With that, she nods decisively and sets the cherry bomb she's holding down by the plushie, then looks to the other.]

Two at once? Or should we save the other in case there's still things left after the first explosion?
